Anonymous/Open guest account

Would it be possible to create an anonymous/guest account that can post to the forums?  I got to thinking about this because the "Toys" thread has been getting pretty good action lately but some people might not feel comfortable posting in that forum.  We pretty much all know each other, and I know it can be difficult replying to or starting more risque topics, especially if one plans on facing others later.  It might spark some very lively discussion in the yiffy and maybe other forums if there were a certain amount of anonymity.  Additionally, a person who is viewing the forums and does not necessarily want to make an account would be able to post and add to frequent discussions. 

IPs are tracked on this site anyway, so if someone uses the account to start a flame war, they could still be held accountable.

I think that having IPs tracked negates any feeling of anonymity in the first place, really. X3


I think if someone wants to post, but doesn't want their "main" account known they should just start up a secondary account if it's that important to them. I personally hate the idea of having guests be able to post on any forum even if the users can be tracked back to their main accounts.

That's good point, but I personally don't like the idea that theoretically every member could have a secondary account.  I like seeing the number of registered users and believing that it is a pretty good representation of the number of local furs.  I know... this is a stupid tic of mine, so it can be ignored.  @.@

Ok... This thread can be ignored or deleted.  x.x  149 users?  I wish we had that many furs in town.  Imagine the meets we'd have then!
