"Rainfurrest returns to the Seatac Marriott on September 24-26, 2010! This year, our Rainfurrest Cougar has committed us to the goal, before the year is out, of landing a fur on the moon and returning him or her safely to the fandom. It may be loony, but we're determined. Fail is not an option."

I just bought my plane ticket to Seatac today and it's gotten me all sorts of excited! This year it looks like they're doing a NASA theme (which is awesome, because I just got back from an internship with them this year). Thought I'd get the thread started in case people need to get hotel roomates.
Anyone else planning on coming?

When going to seattle for Rain furrest also goto the Scifi museum by the space needle. Also The hotel is just up the hill from the airport and they have a free shuttle service (assuming you arive at a decent hour.) that goes to and from the airport. There is food all around the area Cheap and fast Ala (7-11 yes a 7-11 with a full hot bar) to jack in the box at the mid range to high end (The Broster mmmmmm maple corn bread)

Don't be afraid to go! If you have a means to get there (Horizon air has tickets selling for about $200 for a round-trip right now) and a means to stay there (hotel room; friends; card board boxes), then you'll have plenty of fun. But for goodness' sake, make sure to get out beyond the hotel! There's lots to see in Seattle!

Also if you have a somewhat fuel efficient car you can drive. granted it's about about 13 hours to and from reno. but if you get people to car pool the cost goes down.
