Front-Page Suggestions: The Second Coming

Hey guys? I've noticed that the front-page is pretty much the basic Joomla 1.0 template, and it hasn't been updated with any new goings ons since early 2009. Are there any plans for the development of the front-page? And if not, can there be? I'd love to help with the development and make this place more interactive. The forums are great, don't get me wrong, but the lack of front-page use pretty much just kinda says to people that the site is dead which would be wrong; there's lots of activity lately. It just doesn't seem like it.

I think the forum software actually has an upgrade ready. Not sure if it affects the frontpage, though. I also don't believe I can even activate it, som Lux or Tahoe needs to take a gander at it. As for the frontpage, I don't even know why it's there if we don't use it. I don't think I can even access it.   If I could, mayhaps I'd have something to post there, but I doubt it.

I just activated the forum's upgrade and we're now running the most current SMF framework.

As for the front page, I don't have the time these days to keep it updated (haven't in a long time, actually).  I'm going to explore a redirect to the forums.

I assume Tahoe should be able to do a lot, since he's an administrator. He also likely knows way more about messing with this shit then I do.

It *seems* to me that Lux still has a lot of control, but maybe I am mistaken. Either way, it should be up to someone who's motivated and has the time to work on stuff.

Tahoe should have the ability to do pretty much everything I can as it is.
